Scott Kelly and the Dynamics is an alternative indie/rock original and cover band hailing from Ottawa, Canada. The band consists of Scott Kelly on vocals, Adam Taylor on drums, and Dan Pascal on bass, with special guests sometimes featured on lead guitar or piano. With their unique blend of original compositions and captivating cover performances, they have crafted a sound that is both refreshing and distinct.
The band's live performances are known to incorporate a variety of styles including pop, rock, alternative, folk, country and hip hop, with a mix of emotional and catchy original songs from their studio albums combined with unique interpretations of well known cover songs. Adam Taylor, also known as Astar, is a highly skilled drummer and one of the founding members of Scott Kelly and the Dynamics. As the backbeat of the band, Adam's drumming serves as the heartbeat of their sound, infusing each performance with energy, groove, and pocket.
With a passion for music that ignited during his childhood, Adam has been playing drums since he was a teenager, ever since he acquired a dusty old drum kit from a friend at the age of 15.
He has been a part of the Ottawa Music scene since the 1990s, playing in various bands at iconic venues that include Barrymore's, Zaphod Beeblebrox, House of TARG and Babylon nightclub. He has served as the backbone of various groups that cover many styles including Surf Rock, Jazz Fusion, Blues, Hard Rock, Grunge, Pop and Alternative.
While Adam's dedication to music is undeniable, his true priorities lie in his loving family. He cherishes his role as a husband to his wonderful wife and a proud father of two kids.
His unwavering commitment to both his family and his craft serves as a testament to his character, and his rhythmic talents make him a vital force in Scott Kelly and the Dynamics.
